Starman by Sergey Orlov

Sergey
Orlov

Sergey Orlov is a Russian born writer. He currently lives in Toronto. He was inspired to write this story after researching the lost cosmonaut theory.
Editor's Note

I was particularly attracted to it for how it presents a view of Soviet life which is much different than what we're accustomed to in Western Media.

The authenticity of its dialogue, the mundane details, the unseen hand of the state—it all comes together to tell you a uniquely visceral story.

The Vanishing Game by Lexi Glass

Lexi
Glass

Lexi is originally from the Northeast United States, but is currently an international nomad. When not writing, she enjoys long walks in very cold weather.
Editor's Note

"The Vanishing Game," is a devastatingly beautiful story. Loss of one's self is often felt by others first, and only much later (if ever) by ourselves; few have been able to articulate that as clearly as it is here.

Lexi has been published before, but would rather this work speak for itself. That's the spirit of FBM. Please enjoy this piece as I know you will.
